Growing Through Change: Real Sud and Antonio Innella’s Vision within Novagroup

In today’s automotive aftermarket, growth means being able to understand complexity and build strong networks. This awareness lies at the heart of the journey of Real Sud S.p.A., which joined Novagroup in 2020, as told through the words of Antonio Innella, Coordinator of the Quest office.

Real Sud’s entry into Novagroup was the result of a path built over time, shaped by meetings, dialogue and a shared vision.

“I remember a series of meetings, and above all the willingness of Novagroup’s ownership and management to do business together and build a solid partnership.

This step marked a significant evolution for the company, both in terms of its offering and its positioning in the market.

Today’s aftermarket landscape offers more opportunities than ever, but it is also increasingly complex. The growing number of available solutions and the rise of e-commerce have made the market more accessible, yet at the same time more fragmented. Innella explains: “The challenge today is being able to meet the needs of a customer base that is increasingly disoriented, struggling to find the right components among so many—perhaps too many—solutions offered by the market.”

In this context, differentiation is built on very tangible factors: “We play our card on availability, service and delivery times. That’s where we can really make a difference.”

The history of Real Sud is rooted in over fifty years of activity and spans three generations. From a small workshop to a parts dealer, and eventually to a distributor, the company has evolved over time without losing its identity.

«We are now in our third generation. We’ve come a long way, we’ve overcome many challenges, and we still have more ahead of us. Since joining the consortium, we’ve seen a real evolution and gained access to an important network.»

Technological change is another central theme something not to fear, but to manage responsibly.

“As a company, we have a duty to follow change. We can’t always anticipate it, but we can’t arrive late either. We need to learn and use these tools; otherwise, we’ll be overwhelmed by them.”

On the most challenging days, motivation comes from a long-term vision and a very concrete mindset, also rooted in sport: “My fuel on difficult days is thinking about the holding’s goals. I come from cycling: uphill, head down, you keep pedalling. It’s the only way to win the challenge.”

Looking to the future, the wish is clear and fully aligned with the path taken so far.

“I hope we’ll have the ability to withstand change and continue to evolve, just as the market and technologies are already evolving.”

Because today, in the aftermarket, growth means above all this: continuing to move forward together, within a network capable of creating value over time.
